No account. No public server. Apart from Apple's iCloud sync and the App Store, ShadowNtfy talks only to the ntfy servers you add.

How it works

    Run your own ntfy server

    ShadowNtfy works with a ntfy server you host, on your own machine, homelab, or VPS. Lock it with a token so nobody else can publish. The public ntfy.sh server is not supported.

    Point your AI agent hooks at a topic

    Your AI agent posts each permission request and question to one topic and waits for your answer on the same topic with "-responses" added. For Claude Code, the installer on the setup page wires the hooks for you.

    Add the channel in ShadowNtfy

    In ShadowNtfy, go to Channels, Add Channel, and enter the server URL, the topic as the Channel, and the auth token. Requests start showing up in your inbox.

Every notification from your AI agents in one place, with search and a Needs You view for the requests still waiting on you.

Approve or deny

Permission requests show the command or file your AI agent wants. Approve or deny with one tap, or clear a backlog with Approve All or Deny All.

Answer questions

When your AI agent asks a question, pick one of the options it offers. Your answer goes back to your ntfy server and the agent continues.

From the lock screen

Approve or deny a permission request on the banner without opening the app. Approving from the banner needs your iPhone unlocked; in the app, Approve asks for Face ID first by default. Deny never asks.

Your server only

No account and no relay. Besides Apple's iCloud and the App Store, the app connects only to the servers you enter. Tokens stay in the device Keychain.

Synced through your iCloud

Channels and the inbox sync between your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud database. Turn sync off for a channel and it stays on one device.
