Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ShadowNtfy app for iPhone and iPad and this website. ShadowNtfy is made by Shadow Agent LLC ("we"). The short version: we do not collect your data. ShadowNtfy has no account, no servers of ours, no analytics, and no tracking.

What the app stores and where

  • Channels and notifications. The channels you add (name, server URL, topic) and the notifications they receive are stored on your device. If iCloud is on, they also sync to your other devices through your own private iCloud database (CloudKit container iCloud.ai.shadowagent.shadowntfy). That database belongs to your Apple Account; we cannot read it.
  • Per-channel choice. Each channel has a "Sync with iCloud" switch. With it off, that channel and its notifications stay on that one device and never enter iCloud.
  • Auth tokens. The token for each channel is kept in the device Keychain, set to this device only. Tokens are never synced to iCloud and are never written into the synced records. You enter a token once on each device.
  • Settings. App settings (notification switches, polling interval, Face ID before Approve) are kept on the device and do not sync.

Who the app talks to

  • Only the servers you enter. ShadowNtfy connects to the ntfy server URL of each channel you add, to read new notifications and to send your answers (Approve, Deny, or the option you pick). It loads a notification's attachment only when the attachment is on that same server. It sends your token only to that server.
  • Never the public ntfy.sh server. The app refuses to poll it, even if you type it in.
  • Apple. iCloud sync goes through Apple's CloudKit. Purchases go through the App Store.

What your AI agent publishes to your ntfy server (commands, file paths, questions) is between you, your AI agent, and your server. We never see it.

Notifications

ShadowNtfy shows local notifications that the app itself schedules on your device after it checks your server. It does not use a push notification service, so no notification content passes through us or through a push relay.

Face ID

If Face ID before Approve is on, iOS performs the check. The app only learns whether it succeeded. No biometric data reaches the app or us.

Purchases

ShadowNtfy Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase with Apple on the device.

Analytics and tracking

None. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites. This website has no analytics, cookies, or third-party scripts.

Children

ShadowNtfy is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Delete a channel in the app to remove it, its notifications, and its token from the device. Deleting the app removes its local data, but iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so delete your channels first if you want the tokens gone. Synced data lives in your iCloud account; you can remove it under Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and its effective date.
